Western fashion is all about the drape, the texture, and the silhouette. Whether I am shooting a flowy evening gown in a natural field or a structured co-ord set in a studio, I use specific lighting to highlight the fabric’s movement. It is not just about the clothes; it is about how the material reacts to light and shadow, which is why I often spend the extra time on-set adjusting the styling and posing direction until that perfect, high-end look is captured.

When shooting modern Western wear, the goal is to sell a lifestyle, not just the product. For e-commerce lookbooks, I focus on clean, commercial lighting that ensures color accuracy and fabric detail, which is essential for online sales. My studio setup includes a tethered workflow, meaning you can review images on a laptop in real-time, ensuring we hit the exact angle and styling you need for your catalog.
Editorial vs. Commercial Shoots
There is a distinct difference in how I approach these two styles:
- Commercial Lookbooks: I keep the environment controlled. We focus on consistent lighting, standard posing, and background separation to keep the viewer’s attention strictly on the garment. This is designed for high-volume conversion.
- Editorial Campaigns: This is where we get creative. We use dramatic lighting, natural or textured outdoor locations, and more dynamic poses. My goal here is to craft a narrative. Whether it is a backless sequined gown catching the sunlight or an urban streetwear set, we focus on the energy and the 'vibe' to make the image stand out in magazines or on social media.
The Process
I prefer a collaborative process. We start with mood board creation—defining the specific aesthetic, whether it is romantic, powerful, or minimalist. On the day of the shoot, my crew handles the heavy lifting, from reflector management to garment steaming, so you can focus on the artistic direction and final image selection. I am based in Delhi NCR but am fully equipped to travel across India to find the perfect location for your campaign.
