A sitter session is all about their personality, not just the pose. When a baby hits 6 to 9 months, they are curious, wobbly, and full of expressions. I never rush these sessions because we need to wait for that perfect, genuine giggle or a curious glance. Whether they are grabbing their toes or interacting with a prop, my goal is to keep them completely comfortable so we capture those real, honest reactions.

Why the 6-9 Month Milestone Matters

This is such a fleeting phase. One day they are just lying there, and suddenly they are sitting up, clapping, and showing off a distinct personality. My milestone sessions are designed to freeze this exact moment. The Studio Experience

My studio in Jhotwara, Jaipur, is a safe, temperature-controlled space. For sitter sessions, I keep the setups simple and baby-focused. Whether it is a Harry Potter theme, a sunflower garden, or a classic portrait, my focus remains on the baby. I have a collection of outfits—tiny vests for little gentlemen, ruffles for princesses—that are chosen for comfort as much as style.

Preparing for Your Sitter Session

• Timing is everything: We aim to shoot when your baby is happiest—usually after a nap and a feed.
• Bring comfort items: If your baby has a favorite toy or blanket that makes them laugh, bring it along. It helps them settle in faster.
• The Sitter Technique: For babies who are just learning to sit, I use supportive props and cushions that keep them safe. I am always right there, ensuring they are comfortable, so you can relax and just enjoy watching the shoot.
