About Special Needs Pet Care
We started Play because we’re obsessed with animals, and honestly, we get too attached sometimes. Our special needs care is for those pets who don’t fit the usual mold - whether they’re old, anxious, sick, or just tiny babies who need round-the-clock looking after.
Who We Care For
- Elderly pets who just want a soft bed and slow walks. Some of our boarders have been 18 years old and just needed a gentle place to nap.
- Nervous or shy pets. We’re patient - if your pet needs a week to even sniff us, that’s fine. No pressure here.
- Puppies and kittens. Our Puppy Unit has strict puppy care protocols, with frequent meals, cleaning, and lots of naps.
- Pets recovering from injury or illness. We’re used to helping post-surgery pets who aren’t ready for home yet.
Our Way of Doing Things
- We let pets come to us at their own pace. No forced cuddles, no loud noises.
- Each pet gets their own clean, comfy kennel. Hygiene is non-negotiable.
- You get video updates twice a day, so you know your pet is safe.
- Our team is trained for all sorts of quirks, meds, and moods - it’s not just a job for us.
If your pet needs more than just a place to sleep, you’re in the right spot.

My Story
Hey, we’re Play. Animals rule our world here, always have. We just get super attached, can’t help it. Each dog or cat brings their own drama, fun, and sometimes tears when they leave. We end up knowing all their moods, their weird habits, and honestly, we miss them when they go. We’re not their forever home, but we try to make it the next best thing. That’s what keeps us going.
