Smart Home Solutions for Your Daily Annoyances
Tired of the remote hunt or getting up just to flip a switch? I built Picostone to turn these daily hassles into a simple, hands-free experience.
We’ve all been there. You're finally comfortable in bed and then you remember the living room lights are still on. With my system, you can turn them off from your phone without moving an inch.
That feeling of walking into a hot room and having to wait for the AC to cool is the worst. I can help you schedule your AC to turn on before you get home, so you always walk into a comfortable space.
The frustration of not being able to find the TV remote is a universal problem. My system lets you control your TV directly from your phone, so you can say goodbye to lost remotes.
Manually drawing heavy curtains every single day is a chore. With motorized curtains, you can open or close them with a single tap or voice command.
This chart shows the "Levels of Laziness" we all experience. My goal is to take you straight to the top level, where you can just scream "ALEXA TV BANDH KAR" and it's done.
This is a classic sibling move. You walk past the switchboard, and someone asks you to turn on the fan. With a smart home, you won't have to ask anyone ever again.
Are you guilty of slapping your remote to make it work? It’s a sign that you need an upgrade. Let's get rid of that frustration for good.
About this collection
The best part about my system is that you do not need a renovation to get a smart home. I use a compact module that installs behind your existing switchboard in about an hour. You keep your original switches, so even if the internet goes down or you have guests over, everything works the old-school way. No mess, no wall-chipping, just instant convenience.
If you have ever felt the annoyance of leaving the bedroom light on after getting into bed, or wasted time searching for a lost remote, you are exactly the person I built this for.
My approach to smart home automation is strictly retrofit. I do not believe in tearing down your walls to lay new wires. Instead, I install a tiny, Made in India module directly behind your existing switchboard. This setup allows you to keep using your current switches while adding a layer of intelligent control over your lights, fans, and ACs.
Integration with Alexa and Google Home is standard, so you can control your entire home using simple voice commands in your natural accent. For your TV and AC, I use a plug-and-play IR blaster. This small device sits on a table and replaces that pile of remotes cluttering your living room.
We can start small. You do not need to automate your entire apartment at once. Many of my clients start with a single room or just their AC and fan setup to see how it works. Once you get used to telling your AC to turn on as you walk through the door, you can easily expand to other rooms. Whether you live in a rental or a heritage property, this solution respects your space while upgrading your lifestyle. Keh diya na. Bas, keh diya.
Picostone
Hi, I am Niket. I started Picostone because I was genuinely too lazy to get up and switch off the lights at night. I wanted smart home tech that fits into a regular Indian apartment without breaking walls, so I built it myself.
