Non-Surgical Disc Bulge and Sciatica Recovery
Surgery is often not the only option. I focus on treating the root cause of back pain through manual therapy and progressive movement, helping you heal naturally.
This is the initial MRI of a patient from Sydney who came to me with a debilitating disc bulge. After being advised for surgery by multiple specialists, she put her trust in our physiotherapy process.
This is the result after nine months of a hybrid program, including in-clinic manual therapy and virtual exercise sessions. The follow-up MRI shows a near-complete retraction of the disc, and she is living completely pain-free.
About Real Results: Non-Surgical Recovery
Most people think a disc bulge is a life sentence to the operating table, but I've seen it differently. The recovery of our Sydney-based patient—who went from debilitating pain to being completely pain-free in nine months using a mix of in-clinic manual therapy and virtual exercise sessions—proves that with the right structural support and consistency, your body can heal itself without going under the knife.
Why I avoid the 'quick fix' approach
I don’t rely on electrical machines or fancy gadgets because they often just mask the pain instead of fixing the issue. When you come to me with a disc bulge or chronic sciatica, we don’t jump to surgery. Instead, we perform a deep-dive musculoskeletal assessment to see exactly how your spine is moving and where the imbalances are.
The process: Manual therapy + Progressive movement
My approach is built on two pillars:
- Manual Therapy: This is my primary diagnostic and treatment tool. Using techniques like joint mobilization, myofascial release, and scraping, I manually restore range of motion and reduce tension around the affected nerve roots.
- Progressive Exercises: Once we’ve addressed the tissue, we rebuild your strength. We don't just give you a static chart; we use functional movements—squats, lunges, and stability drills—to ensure your muscles are supporting your spine correctly. It’s all about load management, not just rest.
Can virtual rehab work for you?
If you can’t visit one of my clinics in Bengaluru, you aren’t out of options. As shown with our patient who completed her rehab from Sydney, we use virtual consultations to monitor your form in real-time, update your exercise prescription, and guide you through self-release techniques.
Bade bade deshon mein back pain hota hai—it happens everywhere—but you don't have to live with it. Let’s look at your reports and build a roadmap to get you back to your normal life.
