Professional Shih Tzu Grooming and Styling
From practical puppy cuts to elegant Asian fusion styles, I tailor every session to your Shih Tzu's coat type and your daily needs. Your pup will leave looking clean, comfortable, and ready to show off.
A classic before-and-after that shows the power of a professional groom. This Shih Tzu went from having an overgrown, messy coat to a clean, stylish, and comfortable look.
This little one is showing off a perfect breed-standard stance after a full groom. The cut is designed to be neat while keeping the signature fluffy tail and ears that make the Shih Tzu so recognizable.
Another dramatic before-and-after transformation. I gave this pup a neat puppy cut, which is a popular choice for keeping Shih Tzus comfortable and low-maintenance, especially in our Bengaluru climate.
Look at that sweet face. This Shih Tzu puppy is sporting a fresh 'puppy cut', which keeps the face clean and the body fur short and manageable. It's a perfect style for active, playful pups.
A beautiful example of a well-maintained Shih Tzu cut. The hair around the eyes is clear, the ears are neatly shaped, and the body has a uniform length, resulting in a very polished look.
This video shows a semi-Asian fusion style haircut, which gives the dog a unique, doll-like appearance. This style focuses on creating round features on the face and legs.
This little one is walking out proud and happy after a full makeover. You can see the confidence in their stride when they feel clean and look great.
About this collection
Shih Tzus have beautiful, high-maintenance coats that can tangle in a blink. I do not believe in just shaving them down unless it is the only safe option for their skin health. Instead, I spend the time to gently detangle, clean their ears, and carefully trim around the eyes. My goal is to make sure your pup stays comfortable and happy throughout the process, rather than just forcing a quick haircut.
Styling That Fits Your Life
Every Shih Tzu I groom is different. Some owners want the classic look with long, flowing ears, while others prefer a low-maintenance puppy cut because of the Bengaluru heat. During your appointment, we will talk about what works best for your dog's activity level and your ability to maintain their fur at home.
My Approach to Shih Tzu Grooming
- Stress-Free Handling: If your dog is nervous, I slow down. I don't rush through the session. I use calming techniques to make sure they feel safe on the table.
- Asian Fusion & Breed Standards: Whether you want the round, doll-like face of an Asian Fusion cut or a standard breed clip, I have the scissors and the technique to get the lines right.
- Hygiene Focus: It is not just about the hair. I prioritize sanitary trims, nail filing, and ear cleaning as part of every full grooming session. A healthy dog is a happy dog.
Common Questions
How often should I bring my Shih Tzu in? Most of my clients bring their Shih Tzus in every 4 to 6 weeks. This keeps the matting under control and ensures the hair around their eyes stays clear.
Can you handle matted fur? Yes, I have experience with severe matting. If the mats are too tight against the skin, I will explain why shaving is the most humane choice, but I will always try to detangle first if it is safe for the dog.
