Professional Grooming for Shih Tzu, Lhasa & Maltese
Your fluffy companion needs more than just a bath to stay happy. Whether it is a stylish teddy bear face for your Shih Tzu or specialized eye care for your Lhasa, I focus on comfort first so your pet enjoys the salon experience.
This is Bronzo, a Lhasa Apso, showing off his perfectly sculpted haircut. Maintaining this look requires regular grooming to prevent tangles and keep the lines clean.
Charlie the Shih Tzu looking dapper in his new bow. A before-and-after shot shows just how much a good haircut can change a dog's appearance.
Teddy the Maltese, transformed from shaggy to chic. This kind of styling requires careful scissoring to create that soft, rounded teddy bear face.
This is Snoopy, a Lhasa Apso, after her grooming. We gave her cute pigtails to keep the long hair out of her eyes, a practical and adorable solution.
This Shih Tzu's transformation is a testament to the power of a good groom. I feel so lucky to do what I love and see these happy faces every day.
Oreo the Shih Tzu is all dolled up and ready to go home after a long boarding stay. A fresh groom is the perfect way to end a vacation.
Teddy the Shih Tzu looking handsome after his spa session. A neat trim and a bow make him look extra special.
About this collection
Maintaining that long-coat look can be tough, and I often see dogs with severe matting because of it. For pets like Pixie, I suggest a 'camouflage' cut—I keep the belly and neck trimmed short for hygiene and comfort while leaving the sides and face longer to maintain the full-coat aesthetic you love. It gives you the best of both worlds, keeping your pet healthy and looking picture-perfect.
More Than Just a Haircut
When you bring in your Shih Tzu, Lhasa, or Maltese, I am not just looking at the fur. I am looking at the skin, the eyes, and the ears. These breeds are prone to specific issues, and my goal is to catch them before they become painful. Take Jimmy, one of my clients. He came in with matted fur around his eyes that had caused inflammation. By trimming that area carefully without pulling, we cleared the infection risk and made him comfortable again. That is the standard of care I provide—it is about health, not just vanity.
Why Routine Matters
Daily brushing is non-negotiable for fluffy breeds, but I know life gets busy. If you cannot keep up with the daily maintenance, do not worry. Let's fix that schedule. During our sessions, I will show you exactly how to brush at home so you don't find those painful knots. We also focus heavily on:
- Eye Care: Removing discharge build-up that leads to staining and infection.
- Sanitary Trims: Keeping the hygiene areas clean to prevent moisture retention.
- Paw Pad Trimming: Essential for traction and keeping dirt out of the house.
The 'Comfort First' Approach
I don't force a style if the dog is stressed. Whether it is a puppy's first introduction to the table or a senior dog that needs extra breaks, I adapt. If your dog is matted, I will shave it humanely rather than tugging at knots. My team and I are here to build a bond, not just a service transaction. Let's work together to keep your furry friend healthy, happy, and looking their best.
