Just Paws: Pet Portraits That Capture Real Personality
Whether they are acting like a calm old soul or a wild, zoomie-fueled pup, I photograph your pet exactly as they are. No stiff poses—just pure, goofy, wagging-tail honesty.
A dramatic, artistic portrait of Luna the Indie. The use of shadow and light highlights her striking features and intense gaze.
Cheeks for days! A hilarious and adorable close-up of Draco the Weimaraner puppy getting his "pancake face" squished.
A striking half-face portrait of Draco the Weimaraner. His beautiful eyes and the pop of color from his bandana make this a captivating shot.
Capturing the details. A quirky portrait of a Jack Russell with one ear up and one ear down, perfectly showcasing his unique personality.
About Just Paws: Pet Portraits
Getting a great portrait is rarely about sitting still; it is about the squeakers, the treats, and having the patience to let your pet be their weird, wonderful self. Whether your dog is a high-energy bundle of chaos or a shy observer, I do not force poses. I wait for those genuine expressions—a happy pant, a curious ear-tilt, or that classic pancake face—to happen naturally.
Why a Pet Portrait Matters
Your pet is a family member with a distinct personality, and that is exactly what I aim to freeze in time. A 'Just Paws' session is designed to move at your pet's pace. If they need ten minutes to sniff the grass and decide the park is safe, we take those ten minutes. My goal is to capture the unspoken bond you share, whether it is the soulful gaze of an Indie dog or the frantic, joyful energy of a puppy.
My Approach to Your Pet
I treat every session like a playdate rather than a formal shoot. Because I work with many shy, anxious, or rescue pets, I focus on building trust first. I use a combination of natural light, squeakers, and treats to draw out those authentic expressions. I have photographed everything from Weimaraners with endless energy to senior dogs who prefer a slow, quiet walk.
What You Get
- Professional Retouching: I handle fur detail and leash removal, so the focus stays entirely on your pet.
- Flexible Locations: Whether it is your living room, a favorite neighborhood park, or a beach, I bring my gear to where your pet feels most comfortable.
- A Keepsake: You get high-resolution digital files and physical prints designed to be displayed on your wall, not just hidden away on a phone.
If you have a rescue pet or a dog that is nervous around new people, please let me know when you reach out. I design sessions specifically for the 'Patience Premium,' ensuring we have the extra time needed for them to warm up and shine.
