If you are worried about your cat being moody or camera-shy, do not be. Cats set the rules, and I follow their lead. In the shoot featured here, Toffee was not a fan of flash photography, so I switched to continuous lighting and brought out the treats. That flexibility is standard in my approach because your cat's comfort always comes before the perfect frame.
Capturing cats is an art of patience, not just photography. Unlike dogs, who might follow commands for a reward, cats operate on their own terms. I never force a pose. Instead, I create a relaxed environment where your feline friend feels safe enough to explore. Whether it is a quiet morning cuddle session or documenting their high-energy play, I focus on the authentic moments that define your relationship.

From playful, curious kittens to senior cats who prefer a slow, sun-drenched afternoon, I adapt my techniques to suit their energy levels.
