When you are planning a mehendi or a sundowner, you do not want the music to drown out the conversation. My acoustic trio setup—vocals, guitar, and cajon—is designed exactly for that. It keeps the energy lively but comfortable enough so your guests can actually talk, laugh, and celebrate without having to yell over the speakers.
Finding the right volume for pre-wedding events is tricky. You want enough energy to stop it from feeling like background radio, but not so much that people cannot catch up. That is where the unplugged approach shines.
My Acoustic Setups
Whether it is a cozy mehendi in your living room or a sundowner at a villa like Amrai in Pawna, I tailor the instrumentation. I often go solo for tight, smaller spaces, but for most events, I recommend my acoustic trio. This includes me on vocals, a guitarist, and a percussionist on the cajon. We play a mix of Bollywood romantic classics, Sufi tracks, and soft-rock arrangements that bridge the gap between tradition and a modern party vibe.
What I Need From You
To get the best sound, the gear setup matters. For this acoustic configuration, I bring my own instruments and professional microphones. However, I do require the venue to provide a basic PA system with a mixer and speakers so we can balance the audio properly for your space. I also request a quick 45-minute window for a sound check before your guests arrive so we can ensure everything is crisp. If you have specific songs in mind for your entry or a family dance, let me know in advance so we can arrange them unplugged.
