Capturing a person's likeness on a small stone is a challenge I love. This video shows my entire process, from the initial pencil outline to layering acrylic paints to get the details just right. Each portrait is a miniature masterpiece made with love.

This piece was so special to make. It shows my process of creating a custom stone portrait and ends with the client's beautiful reaction. Seeing that joy makes all the hours of detailed work completely worth it.

About Hand-Painted Stone Portraits

I start with a fine pencil outline to catch your likeness on the stone, then layer on professional acrylics using 000-size brushes for the tiny details. Finally, I apply a double-coat of high-gloss varnish, which makes your portrait water-resistant and gives it a smooth, ceramic-like finish that stays shiny for years.
