About Custom Portraits & Handcrafted Gifts
I’m a bit of a perfectionist with my sketching. If a portrait doesn’t capture the emotion in your eyes just right, I restart, no compromises. I use 200 GSM professional paper and high-quality charcoal to ensure your piece lasts, and I typically need about 5 to 7 days to get every detail perfect before it heads your way.
When you order a portrait from me, you’re not just getting a drawing. You are getting a piece of my peace. Sketching is my therapy, and whether I’m working on a graphite portrait of a loved one or a devotional sketch of Swami Samarth, the process remains the same: I focus on the expression and the story behind it.
My Process
I work primarily with professional graphite and charcoal on Brustro 200 GSM acid-free paper. It is thick, durable, and holds shading beautifully.
- The Outline: Everything starts with a high-resolution reference photo you send over. I focus on getting the anatomy and the 'feel' of the subject right before I pick up the charcoal.
- The Details: From skin texture to fabric folds, I build depth slowly. If it's a family portrait, I take extra care to ensure everyone looks natural and cohesive.
- The Finish: Every sketch is sealed with a professional fixative spray so it doesn't smudge during transit.
Framing and Keepsakes
If you opt for a framed piece, I use synthetic wood frames with glass or acrylic protection. I ship these safely, usually sandwiched between hard cardboard or bubble-wrapped inside a heavy-duty box, so your art arrives in perfect condition.
Whether it’s a handwritten letter, a vintage frame, or a portrait for your living room, my goal is to create something that feels timeless. I don't mass-produce anything. It is just me, my pencils, and a lot of patience. If you’re looking to turn a special moment into a physical memory, send me a message and let’s talk about what you need.
Sketchink Studio
Hi, I’m Isha. I balance my architecture job, gym sessions, and my art table because, honestly, sketching is my therapy. My small studio, Sketchink, is my space to show that passion can build something real, one charcoal portrait at a time.
