Custom Caricature Sketches
Thinking of a gift that actually makes people smile? I draw quirky, custom caricatures that capture your personality and hobbies in fine ink, all hand-drawn with love.
This video shows how I create a fun caricature for a couple. It's all about capturing their bond with a bit of exaggeration and a lot of love. These make for great anniversary or wedding gifts.
Here's the process for a custom caricature of a woman in traditional attire. I focus on the details, from her jewelry to her expression, to create a sketch that is both fun and beautiful.
A fun couple caricature from my sketchbook. Capturing two people's personalities together in one drawing is always a joy.
Another couple caricature sketch. I use fine-tipped pens to create the clean lines and shading that give these drawings their classic look.
People and their pets make the best subjects! This is a caricature of a girl with her adorable dog, a perfect way to celebrate a furry friend.
A caricature of a girl with her guitar. I love incorporating hobbies and passions into my sketches to make them even more personal.
Another angle of the guitarist caricature, showing it held in hand to give a sense of its size.
A simple and sweet caricature portrait. Sometimes a gentle expression is all you need to capture someone's essence.
This caricature captures a very specific and funny expression. It's always fun to draw moments of real, candid emotion.
A clean and simple portrait caricature. The focus here is on the eyes and the gentle expression.
About Custom Caricature Sketches
Before I pick up my fine-liner pens, we start with a simple pencil draft to get the composition right. You get to approve the layout, including those fun little details like a guitar or your pet, before I commit to the permanent ink lines. It is all about getting that balance between a funny exaggeration and a sketch you will actually want to frame.
People often ask if these are digital prints because the lines look so sharp. I use fineliner pens on 180+ GSM acid-free paper, focusing on clean cross-hatching to get those shadows right. This is all part of my 'Doodle Yatra'—a personal project where I challenge myself to draw daily, which is how I honed the ability to spot the specific quirk in a person's expression that makes a caricature work.
When you order a caricature, you are not just getting a drawing; you are getting a piece of that journey. Whether it is a couple's anniversary gift, a pet portrait, or a funny way to capture a friend's hobby—like a guitar or a favorite outfit—I focus on the details that make the person 'them'. Since I do not use color fill, the monochromatic black and white look keeps the focus entirely on the subject’s face and expression.
I keep the process simple: you send me your photo, we discuss the composition, and once you approve the pencil draft, I start the inking. Everything is framed in a sturdy A5 or A4 frame, ready to be hung or gifted immediately. If you have an idea, even a wild one, let us talk about it. I love sketching stories. Har Har Mahadev!
