About The Art of Hand-Lettering
When you order a piece, we start with a hand-drawn sketch, not a computer mock-up. You get to see the layout before I ever touch a brush to the final surface. Because I work with enamel paints that need proper drying time, plan for about 2-3 days of setting before your piece is ready for mounting or display.
My process is rooted in the old-school tradition of sign writing. I do not use vinyl cutters or digital printers. Everything is done with an oil enamel brush, which allows me to create that signature 3D block style with deep shadows and sharp highlights that digital fonts simply cannot replicate.
Why Hand-Painted Matters
When you see the 'Pop' in my lettering, it is because I layer the colors manually. This creates a texture you can feel, especially when using fluorescent finishes. On metal or wood, these signs are built to last and weather, making them perfect for both indoor decor and outdoor shop signage.
Scripts and Languages
I am a master of multiple scripts, having painted in Hindi (Devanagari), Urdu (Nastaliq/Naskh), Arabic, Sanskrit, Farsi, and English. Whether you need a formal welcome sign like 'Aapka Hardik Abhinandan Hai' or a complex religious phrase, I ensure the calligraphy respects the traditional structure of the script while adapting it to a modern, bold aesthetic.
Commissioning Your Work
- Drafting: I provide a pencil sketch for your approval before painting.
- Materials: I use high-gloss enamel paints on tin or primed wood, ensuring durability.
- Customization: You choose the colors and the style. If you want a specific floral border or an icon like a peacock or tiger, I include that in the layout.
I have shipped work to the USA, UK, and France, but my studio remains in the heart of Old Delhi. Every piece I paint carries a piece of that tradition.
