Wiring Wisdom: The Real Backbone

• Think of your wires as the backbone - invisible but crucial.
• ZHFR wires (Zero Halogen) are my top pick: less toxic smoke, harder to burn, safest for homes.
• Don’t trust the wire box blindly. Always check copper thickness yourself, bhai. A simple micrometer can save you from undersized wires.
• Remember, load ratings on boxes don’t match hot Indian walls. Use only 50-60% of the stated load for safety.
• Go for a thicker wire than you need now. You’ll thank yourself later when the load goes up.

Circuit Breakers: No Compromise Here

• The MCB box is your main shield. Always go with premium circuit breaker safety - C-Series, not cheap B-Series.
• Installation is as important as the product. Loose connections? Recipe for disaster. DB dressing and tight connections are non-negotiable.

Switches & Fans: Details That Matter

• Choose switches with a bimetal base plate, especially if you live in a humid area.
• Pick brands that offer a full product range. It keeps your home’s look consistent and makes replacements easy.
• For ceiling fans, bigger isn’t always better. Right size, right height (12-14 inch drop from ceiling) gives best air. Short rods? Don’t even think about it.
