Urban Pre-Wedding Photography and Candid Couple Portraits
From busy street corners to quiet heritage homes, I find the romance in our cities. Here is how I frame your bond against an urban backdrop.
A classic "follow me" shot, leading the way through a charming old-world street. This style of photo is perfect for telling the story of your journey together.
A joyful dance in the middle of a quiet street. The bride-to-be's traditional half saree adds a beautiful splash of color and culture.
Finding romance in unexpected places, like this classic hand-pulled rickshaw. It adds a touch of vintage charm to this urban pre-wedding shoot.
A tender moment in front of the iconic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai. The sunflowers add a bright, happy element to this classic portrait.
A quiet moment under the tiled roof of a traditional South Indian house. The architecture itself becomes a beautiful frame for the couple's portrait.
A playful, candid moment on the porch of a heritage home. The genuine laughter makes this shot feel warm and authentic.
A happy walk down a tree-lined country road. The soft, golden light and natural smiles create a perfect pre-wedding memory.
Walking hand-in-hand down a set of striking red steps. The color contrast makes this a visually powerful and memorable couple portrait.
An intimate embrace under a large banyan tree, a classic symbol of strength and longevity. A beautiful metaphor for a pre-wedding shoot.
A candid, over-the-shoulder glance while walking up the red steps. This playful interaction adds life and movement to the photo.
About Stories in the City
I don’t wait for the city to be empty to get the perfect shot. Whether it is a bustling street corner or a historic temple entrance, I focus on how you two interact within the space, rather than treating the city as a simple background. I prefer finding quiet, candid pockets in busy areas instead of staging elaborate, high-production sets that feel forced.
City streets are full of texture. From the tiled roofs of traditional Mangaluru homes to the vibrant lanes of Bengaluru, urban environments offer a raw, honest look that studios cannot replicate. My approach is simple: I treat the city as our canvas but keep the focus firmly on your connection.
When we shoot in the city, we are looking for those blink-and-miss moments, like a shared laugh while walking down a historic lane or a quiet glance in front of a landmark. We do not need to block off roads to make it look special. The character of the building or the street naturally frames your story.
For couples planning an urban session, I suggest picking a location that means something to you, such as a cafe where you had your first date or a neighborhood you both love exploring. The best time for these shoots is early morning or late afternoon when the city light is soft and the crowds are thin. It allows us to capture the details that matter, like the architecture of a heritage house or the way sunlight hits a doorway, without the rush. If you have a specific spot in mind, let me know and we can plan around the lighting to get the best frames.
