The best beach shots happen during the golden hour, usually in the hour before sunset. That soft, low light eliminates harsh shadows and gives everything a dreamy, calm look, which is why I prefer to schedule our coastal sessions for that time of day.
Shooting by the coast is less about where you stand and more about how you feel. When we’re on the beach, I don't give you instructions to 'look here' or 'smile like this.' Instead, I ask you to walk, talk, or just watch the waves. My goal is to capture the quiet, unguarded moments—the way you hold hands when the tide comes in or the genuine laugh you share when you lose your balance in the sand.

Unlike studio backdrops, the beach is constantly changing, giving us a fresh frame with every wave.
Practical Tips for Your Beach Session
- Wear Neutral Colors: Solid, earthy tones like white, cream, or light blues work best. They don't clash with the sand and sea.
- Keep it Simple: Avoid heavy jewelry or complex outfits. You want to be able to move freely without worrying about your clothes.
- Be Prepared: Bring a pair of slippers for walking on the sand and comfortable clothes for after the shoot. We often end up near the water, and it's best to be ready to get a little wet if the moment calls for it.
