100 Years of Legendary Mughlai Food at Noor Mohammadi
We don't do luxury settings. We do 100-year-old recipes that have fed everyone from Bhendi Bazaar locals to Bollywood stars. Come taste the history.
We were honored to host Sana Khan, Mufti Anas, and their entire family during Ramzan. Sana has been coming here since she was a child with her mother, and she says no one makes Nalli Nihari better than us. It is this love that keeps us going.
It is always a pleasure to host our friends from the film industry. Here you can see some familiar faces standing outside our hotel. They know where to come for authentic Mughlai food.
A candid moment of friends and family sharing a meal at our hotel. This is what we love to see, people enjoying good food and good company. This is the real spirit of a daawat.
A collection of memories with friends and guests who have visited us. We are grateful for every person who walks through our doors and becomes a part of our 100-year journey.
This is the expression of pure joy when you take the first bite of our White Biryani. We love seeing our customers, dressed for an occasion, enjoying our food at home.
Another shot of a happy customer enjoying our biryani from one of our meal boxes. Our food is meant to be savored, and it brings us happiness to see you enjoy it.
About A Legacy Loved by All
While others look for shortcuts, our Nalli Nihari stays in the deg (cooking pot) overnight, and our Haleem simmers for 12 hours. This is how we have been cooking in Bhendi Bazaar since 1923—no fancy plating, just the real deal. When you order from us, you aren't just getting food; you are getting the same slow-cooked craft that has kept our kitchen busy for a century.
A Century of Tradition
Our journey began in 1923 when my great-grandfather, Abdul Karim, started a small bhattiyarkhana (kitchen) to feed blue-collar workers in Bhendi Bazaar. Today, we are the third and fourth generation carrying that legacy forward. We have seen the city change, but our recipes remain untouched by trends or shortcuts.
Why Our Food Matters
We believe in serving the common man and the celebrity with the same heart. This is why you will see faces like Sanjay Dutt in our kitchen, or influencers like Sana Khan visiting us during Ramzan. In fact, our famous 'Chicken Sanju Baba' came from a personal recipe shared by Sanjay Dutt himself. It is not a marketing gimmick; it is a piece of our history.
The Noor Mohammadi Standard
We specialize in authentic Mughlai dishes that are becoming hard to find. Whether it is our spicy Nalli Nihari, our rich Mutton Haleem, or the unique White Biryani, every dish is prepared with traditional spices and slow-cooking techniques. We have brought these legendary flavours to your home through our specialized Iftar and Sehri meal boxes, designed for gatherings of every size. You get the same taste we serve at our restaurant, delivered fresh to your doorstep across the Mumbai Metropolitan Area.
