About Authentic Mughlai Dining
We’ve been here in Mumbai, making Mughlai food with old-school style since 1923. My family’s been at this for four generations now, and our food’s still all about tradition, not show-off luxury.
What You Can Expect
- Food that’s about taste, not fancy vibes. A place for the aam aadmi (common man) and the film stars, both.
- Our Kurla branch has a special dastarkhan (floor dining) hall for families who want that traditional experience.
Dishes That Built Our Name
- Legendary Nalli Nihari Mumbai: This is the dish that started it all. Mutton so soft it falls apart, cooked slow until the marrow melts.
- Mutton Haleem: Thick, creamy, slow-cooked Mughlai recipe. Topped with birista (fried onions) every day.
- Chicken Sanju Baba: Recipe gifted by Sanjay Dutt himself. Loaded with whole spices, now our most famous curry.
- Secret Spice Blend Mughlai Kebabs: Chicken Hakimi (the ‘real’ butter chicken) and Shami Kebab, made with our own blend of 32 spices.
- Chicken White Biryani & Yakhni Pulao: Biryani that’s subtle and aromatic, plus pulao made the original way, slow-cooked with spices in a potli (pouch).

My Story
Hamari kahani 1923 mein Bhendi Bazaar ke ek chote bhaatiyarkhana se shuru hui thi. Mere great grandfather Abdul Karim ne blue-collar workers ke liye Nalli Nihari aur roti banayi, fir dada Abdul Hakim ne sambhala. Ab teesri aur chauthi generation milke Mohammed Ali Road ki asli vibe ko zinda rakhte hain. Bade film stars bhi aate hain, par asli hero hamara khana hai - dil se bana, bina nakhra. Chicken Sanju Baba? Bilkul real hai, Sanjay Dutt ki recipe hai, mazaak nahi.

Simple Philosophy - Hum garibon ki seva karte hain. Na fancy ambience, na mehenga menu. Sirf asli, dil se bana hua khana.
Original & Slow-Cooked Recipes - Haleem 8-12 ghante lagta hai, Nihari overnight banta hai. Taste mein asli slow-cooking ka maza hai.
