Devedanya from Virar performing a song for Maa Saraswati on Vasant Panchami. Even though he was not well, he tried his best, and his devotion shines through his singing and playing.
A beautiful performance of 'Hey Sharde Ma' for our Vasant Panchami festival. The caption includes the full sargam notes for the song, showing how we break down complex songs for our students.

Our online student Naisha from New Delhi performing a three-minute bhajan program. At a very young age, she shows incredible talent in both singing and playing the harmonium.
This student has a natural, pure singing voice and is getting much better at singing the notes properly. With practice, he will be able to sing many songs beautifully.
We begin our singing lessons with devotional music like 'Leke Prabhu Ka Naam'. Starting with the four basic notes of Indian music, 'S R G M', builds a strong foundation for our beginners.
A group of students learning to sing a patriotic song with me on the harmonium. Group singing sessions are great for learning harmony and rhythm.
The correct way to practice is to sing the notes while playing them. This ear training helps the student check if they are in the correct pitch, which is crucial for vocal improvement.
Two sisters practicing their singing lessons together at our Vasai East branch. We offer vocal classes both online and offline for students in Mumbai.
An offline student in Mumbai practicing her 'Sargam' and 'Alankar 3'. These vocal exercises are essential for improving pitch, voice control, and flexibility.
About Vocal Training & Singing
In our first vocal session, I don’t start with dry theory. I write the basic musical notes right on your child's hands to make them stick instantly. This simple 'ABCD' notation method helps even the youngest students start singing melodies within minutes of their first class.
At Nitz Music Academy, we believe vocal training should be about building confidence, not memorizing complex rules. We skip the 'fake' certificates and focus on what actually works: vocal exercises that blend Indian classical techniques like Sargam and Alankars with Western pop and Bollywood favorites.
We structure our classes to match how kids actually learn. We start with pitch correction and breathing basics, ensuring students can hold a tune before rushing into performance. Whether it is a toddler learning to follow a rhythm or an older student preparing for a stage event, we keep the batches small. This allows me to give every student the personal attention they need to correct their posture and pitch.
Our classes are available both online for students across India and the USA, and in-person at our branches in Mumbai, including Kandivali, Malad, Borivali, and Vasai-Virar. If your child is shy, don't worry. Many of our students start by just humming along to the harmonium or piano, and soon find themselves singing full songs. The goal is to make music a part of their daily life, not just a weekly activity.
