Featured Fine Art Photography Prints
A selection of my most significant work, capturing the spirit of India through landscapes, documentary moments, and conceptual frames. These images are the result of years spent documenting the country, refined using traditional darkroom techniques.
This is a moment of peak action from a Kalaripayattu practice in Kerala. I captured these two warriors mid-air to freeze the raw power and grace of this ancient martial art. This black and white fine art print emphasizes the dramatic form and timeless nature of their discipline.
The explosive joy of Holi celebrations captured in a shower of golden petals. This photograph is about the energy and chaos of the moment, a vibrant cultural scene frozen in time. It is a testament to the power of color in documentary storytelling.
A classic Himalayan landscape from Fagu, Himachal Pradesh. The wild grasses in the foreground lead the eye across layers of misty mountains. I chose black and white to emphasize the texture and tonal depth of this serene, expansive view.
A moment of quiet prayer inside a tomb, where light filters through a jali window, creating a pattern on the floor. This image is about the interplay between light, shadow, and faith. It is a contemplative piece of documentary art that speaks to a universal sense of spirituality.
A piece from my 'Reflections of Life' series, created entirely in-camera. This image layers a portrait with a dramatic sunset over the mountains, blending introspection with the vastness of nature. It is a conceptual photograph that explores internal and external worlds simultaneously.
The morning mist over the Yamuna Ghat in Delhi, filled with a flock of seagulls. This photograph captures the ethereal golden light and the dynamic movement of the birds against the calm water, creating a scene that is both a landscape and a living moment.
A scene from rural Rajasthan, showing goatherds in a rugged, ancient landscape. The high-contrast black and white treatment brings out the texture of the stone and the stark reality of their daily life. This is a documentary print that tells a story of resilience and tradition.
About this collection
I approach every print with the same discipline I apply in the field. I do not rely on digital manipulation to alter the reality of an image. Instead, I use classic dodging and burning techniques to enhance depth and contrast, ensuring the final print is an honest reflection of the moment I captured. Whether you choose an open edition or a limited collector's piece, you are investing in archival-grade photography designed to endure.
The Technical Foundation of My Prints
Photography is not just about the capture; it is about the final physical output. To ensure that the images maintain their integrity over time, I use only museum-quality archival materials. Every print is produced using a 12-color pigment ink system, which allows for a wider color gamut and deeper blacks. I work exclusively with archival fine art papers, such as Hahnemühle and Canson Infinity, which provide a 100% cotton rag base for maximum longevity—typically rated for 75 to 100 years of display without fading.
Understanding Your Options
- Open Edition Prints: These are accessible pieces intended for those who appreciate the aesthetic without the exclusivity of a limited run. They are printed on archival cotton rag paper, providing a professional finish suitable for framing in homes or offices.
- Limited Edition Collector's Prints: For those seeking exclusivity, these prints are produced in strictly limited runs. They are printed on exhibition-grade Baryta or Platinum Etching paper to mimic the look and feel of traditional darkroom silver halide prints. Each piece is hand-signed and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
Handling and Care
I treat every shipment with the care required for fine art. Prints are never folded; they are rolled into wide-diameter, crush-resistant mailing tubes or custom crates to prevent curling or damage. When you receive your print, it is ready for professional framing. I recommend using archival-quality materials for your frames to protect the work from moisture and light exposure, ensuring the image remains as sharp and evocative as the day it was printed.
