About this collection

When documenting these ceremonies, I do not stage the action. My goal is to capture the authentic rhythm of the rituals, including the motion of the aarti, the concentration of the devotees, and the interaction between light and stone.

This series, created for the Aditya Birla Group, was an exercise in observation and patience. Religious ceremonies are fluid and unpredictable. To capture them effectively, I rely on my experience with documentary photography to anticipate shifts in light and movement. Whether it is the soft glow of diyas or the architecture of a marble temple, my focus remains on truth and texture.

I do not use modern digital filters or heavy retouching. Instead, I apply classic darkroom techniques, like dodging and burning, to bring out the depth in black and white or the vibrancy in color. This approach ensures that the archival-quality images you receive retain their integrity for decades.

If you are looking to document a cultural event, a corporate social responsibility initiative, or a historical project, I bring the same level of attention to detail and professional commitment as I did for this commission. I work with clients to understand the narrative arc they wish to tell, ensuring the final output is a cohesive visual story.
