About Timeless Black & White Portraits
I do not rely on digital presets or heavy image manipulation. Each portrait is developed using a classic darkroom methodology—manual dodging and burning—to sculpt the light and shadow on your face exactly as I see it in my studio.
Photography is not about the equipment or the software. It is about how I perceive light and how you inhabit the frame. When you book a portrait session with me, we are not just taking pictures. We are creating a visual record of your character.
My approach is rooted in the traditions I grew up with. I utilize complex lighting setups—snoots, reflectors, and deliberate shadow play—to isolate features and create images that have weight. Whether you are looking for a high-fashion editorial look, a personal branding portrait, or a classic glamour shot, I guide the posing and the expression to ensure the final result is honest and cinematic.
The Process
Every shoot begins with a consultation. We discuss the concept, the wardrobe, and the mood. My studio in Palam Vihar, Gurugram, is equipped for controlled, intentional photography where we have the time to get the details right. You will work with a professional hair and makeup artist, and I will be there to direct the production to ensure we achieve the intensity required for fine art portraiture.
These sessions are for those who want a permanent, high-quality image that does not look like a social media trend. We are creating a tangible, lasting piece of your own history.
