A photograph should tell a story without relying on words. I focus on capturing the authentic essence of my subjects through timeless, classic techniques.

The cover of SUNDAY magazine from July 1993, featuring my portrait of Dr. Manmohan Singh, the former Prime Minister of India. This image is a significant piece from my editorial archives, capturing a rare, gentle expression.

A black and white studio portrait of Indian actress and model Shwetha Menon, captured in 2002. This image showcases my signature intense and raw portrait style, focusing on her expressive features.

About Portraits of Note

When I photograph a subject, I am looking for the narrative behind their expression. I avoid the rigid constraints of a typical studio setup, preferring to guide the subject into a state where they are comfortable and present. This approach is why my portraits, whether of a political leader or a private client, feel authentic rather than posed.
