Food is Medicine: My Approach to Mindful Eating

I do not believe in cheat days because I love my body too much to do that kind of nainsaafi. Food is nature's medicine, and when you eat with awareness, you aren't just feeding yourself; you are healing yourself.

Nature has designed everything to heal us. When we eat food the way nature serves it, it has all the properties of medicine. It doesn't just cure, it nourishes and restores. This is the simple truth I live by and share through every dish I create.

The way you eat makes a difference. I am mindful of what I eat, choosing smoothies, salads, and whole foods that energize me and keep my body strong. Loving and respecting yourself starts with the choices you make for your mind and body every single day.

I am madly in love with Nature's 'Farmacy'. My life depends on it. I've transformed from someone who thought celebrations meant junk food to my 2.0 self, who finds joy in nourishing my body. This journey is about self-love, health, and discovering how vibrant healthy eating can be.

We need to be mindful of the ingredients we consume. At Justbe, I ensure every dish is made with whole food plant-based ingredients that your body recognizes and loves back. Raw food has 'prana' and takes less effort to digest, which is why I incorporate plenty of raw fruits and vegetables into my diet.

We get so happy eating sweets, but we are often just addicted to the sugar. If you remove the sugar, you won't want a second bite. When I make desserts with natural sweeteners like dates, two bites are enough to feel satisfied. Nature has given us the right kind of sweet things, we just need to choose them.

They used to say one person can make a difference, and I never understood it until I became vegan. Seeing my family, my team, and my guests choose this path, one meal at a time, has shown me that it's true. Every drop contributes to the ocean, and I am grateful to be that drop.

Every experience is a chance to learn. I was once invited to an event where the hotel chefs were not happy to learn about vegan cooking from me. But for me, the mission is the food. I focus on making compassionate, plant-based meals possible, no matter the challenge.

Sitting on a stool barely inches from the ground, I felt a connection I hadn't in a long time. We have built lives so high up that we have forgotten the feeling of being held by the ground. Sometimes, to return to ourselves, we must sit closer to the earth and find the forgotten ways of being.

On Mother's Day, my heart cries for mother cow, who gives away everything. For eight years, I have been vegan, and I wake up every day asking for forgiveness on behalf of the world. I believe a day will come when we awaken our dormant compassionate side.

Humans, animals, and plants are not different from each other. We are all dependent on one another and understand the universal language of love. The question is, are we listening?

About My Philosophy: Food is Medicine

People often ask if oil-free cooking means compromising on taste. The secret is not just swapping ingredients; it is about how we build layers of flavor using whole spices and textures. When you dine with us or join my masterclass, you will see how we replace dairy-based cream with nut-based emulsions and use dates for natural sweetness. It is not restrictive. It is just more conscious.
