About My Dance Journey & Style
I don’t believe in rigid, perfect choreography. When I work with you, whether for a solo performance or a family sangeet, my focus is on finding your natural movement. If you are nervous about dancing in front of a crowd, I will simplify the steps to match your comfort level so you can actually enjoy your performance.
My approach to dance is rooted in the idea that movement should feel like an extension of yourself. Whether you are prepping for a wedding Sangeet, learning Garba for Navratri, or exploring a new Bollywood fusion routine, the goal is always the same: confidence and joy.
Why My Style Works
I specialize in making dance accessible for everyone, including those who say they have 'two left feet.' My choreography focuses on hook steps and easy transitions that look great on video and feel natural in the moment.
- Garba & Folk: I blend traditional steps like Dodhiya and 2-taali with contemporary flair. It is about keeping the culture alive while making it fun to perform.
- Wedding Choreography: I help families and couples create performances that tell a story. I break down complex songs into manageable routines that look impressive but are easy to learn in just a few sessions.
- Bollywood & Contemporary: For those looking for expression, my contemporary pieces focus on storytelling and rhythm, while my Bollywood routines are all about high energy.
The Process
We start by picking music that resonates with you. For solo performances, I typically suggest 2-3 sessions to polish your expression and movement. If we are working on a group Sangeet routine, I structure the rehearsals to manage formations and transitions, ensuring everyone knows their spot. We can rehearse at your home in Navi Mumbai or at a local studio, whichever makes you feel more at ease.
I also provide video breakdowns after our sessions, so you can practice at home without the pressure of having me right there. This is your moment to shine, and my job is simply to help you find your rhythm.
Nidhi Jimulia
I'm Nidhi, and for me, dance is simply how I live. Based in Navi Mumbai, I spend my days either at my studio or helping families create moments of pure joy on the dance floor. If you see me twirling, it is probably because I am choreographing something fun or just soaking in the music.
