Behind the Scenes: My Creative Process & Art Studio
Welcome to my creative space! This is where the magic happens, usually with me sitting on the floor, surrounded by paint, plants, and my furry assistant. Take a peek into how I turn ideas into art.
This is me, in my element, working on the large glass window painting. It was a huge project that took a lot of focus, but I love getting lost in the process.
Here I am, giving an old trunk a new life with a coat of paint and a new design. My face might look serious, but I'm truly in my happy place when I'm painting.
The very first step of a glass painting project is creating the outline. Here's a close-up of the initial sketch for the birds and branches design.
A sneak peek into the glass painting process. I'm filling in the leaves with different shades of green glass paint to give them depth and a translucent look.
Bringing a little bird to life with vibrant pink and red glass paints. Each section is carefully filled to create this geometric, stained-glass effect.
Getting ready for the Sankranti festival. Here I am, with my furry assistant, attempting to create a rangoli. It's not my strongest skill, but it's always fun to try.
A moment of focus while creating the rangoli. The pot on the stool is one I painted with a Warli art design, ready for the festival.
About The Artist's Corner
When you commission a piece, you are getting a glimpse into the messy, happy process that happens right here on my studio floor. Whether it is a large-scale window installation or custom home decor, I treat every project as a piece of therapy for my soul, and I pour that same intention into creating something special for your home.
My Creative Space
This corner is my happy place. It is where the floor is always covered in newspaper, paint bottles, and stray brushes. Being an architect helps me visualize how a piece will fit into a home, but my heart is in the art itself—whether I am meticulously filling in a glass painting or sketching out a new Mandala design.
Why Commission Custom Art?
Most of my work, like the large window installation you see here, is custom-made. It starts with a conversation about what you need, maybe a splash of color for a boring corner or a unique housewarming gift. I love mixing Indian folk styles like Gond and Pichwai with modern aesthetics. It is not just about the final product, it is about the story we build together.
A Few Things to Know
- Materials: I use premium 300 GSM paper for fine art and industrial-grade finishes for furniture and glass to ensure your piece lasts.
- The 'No Faces' Rule: I paint almost anything, but faces are not my thing. I prefer focusing on nature, patterns, and abstract beauty.
- Global Shipping: From my studio in Bengaluru to homes in Germany and the US, my art travels far.
- Timeline: Handmade art takes patience. I put my heart into every layer, so I appreciate you allowing time for the process to unfold naturally.
If you have an empty wall or a piece of furniture that needs a second life, reach out and let's discuss your idea.
