About Traditional Kaachenna Hair Oil
Unlike store-bought oils, this is not just a mixture of ingredients. I slow-cook the herbs in a bronze uruli (traditional vessel) over a wood fire for two days until they reach 'Manal Paruvam'—a sand-like consistency. This specific process ensures all moisture is removed, leaving behind a potent, thick oil that smells like fresh earth and leaves, not perfume.
The 48-Hour Difference
When you order a bottle, you are not getting something pulled off a warehouse shelf. Each batch starts with me sourcing fresh leaves like Neelayamari (Indigo), Keezharnelli, and Kayyunni. I slice, grind, and blend them by hand. The cooking process is the most critical part; by keeping the flame low and the stirring constant, the medicinal properties of the herbs infuse deeply into the coconut oil base. This patience is what separates a truly effective hair treatment from a simple hair oil.
