Life as a small business owner has its challenges. Recently, heavy rains damaged my production unit. But with your support, we are getting back on our feet and have started taking orders again.

You might notice my products look different from mass-produced brands, and that is intentional. Since I handcraft everything in small, home-based batches without using artificial stabilizers or thickeners, the texture and consistency can vary slightly. This is normal, and it simply means you are getting pure, fresh ingredients—like real hibiscus and aloe pulp—without any chemical fillers.
I started Neelayambary because I missed the simple, clean care of my childhood—those memories of chembarathi (hibiscus) leaves and the feeling of truly natural ingredients. I wanted to bring that same honesty to your busy life, without the harsh chemicals found in standard shampoos and oils.
Everything you see here is made by me and my family. Whether it is our traditional Kaachenna hair oil, which is slow-cooked over a wood fire for 48 hours, or our sulphate-free shampoos, we don’t use shortcuts. We do not believe in 'magic' solutions, but we do believe in the power of naattarivukal (local wisdom) and honest, farm-sourced herbs.
When I work on these batches, I’m not just creating a product; I’m making something I trust enough to use on my own family and kids. If you see images of my garden or my home unit, that is where it all happens. I am open about the reality of running a small business—from the joy of good feedback to the challenges of keeping production running smoothly after a storm. What you get from Neelayambary is exactly what I use: natural, simple, and made with love.
