Design a home where indoor and outdoor spaces flow
Your home should feel expansive, not enclosed. We design spaces that blur the boundaries between your living area and the garden, using large openings and natural transitions to bring the outdoors in.
This dining space embodies a natural, bohemian aesthetic that connects directly with the outdoors. We used earthy materials like wood and rattan for the furniture and kept the color palette neutral to complement the view of the green patio just outside the sliding glass doors.
This split image shows two views of the same dining and living area. The design uses a split-level floor plan to define the spaces while maintaining an open feel, with large glass doors that lead to a patio featuring a vertical garden.
An aerial perspective of a double-height living room that opens onto a spacious balcony. The design uses organic shapes in the furniture and a nature-inspired wall installation to echo the lush green landscape visible through the floor-to-ceiling windows.
This short video captures the serene ambiance of a dining area designed for quiet moments. The frosted glass door diffuses the natural light from the garden beyond, creating a soft, peaceful atmosphere inside.
We designed this bathroom to feel like a private spa with a strong connection to nature. A large window offers expansive views, while the green marble bathtub and indoor bonsai tree bring organic elements inside, creating a luxurious and calming retreat.
This bathroom vanity is crafted with warm wood and a clean white countertop. The design includes a large mirror that reflects the greenery from the adjacent private courtyard, making the space feel larger and more connected to the outdoors.
A view from the bathroom looking out into a small, private green courtyard. We designed this connection to allow natural light and a sense of openness into the bathroom, providing a refreshing and private link to nature.
About this collection
The secret to creating this flow is not just installing large windows. It is about matching your indoor flooring with your deck or patio material. When we align the line of sight from your living room into the garden, the space instantly feels doubled in size. We often use durable, weather-resistant WPC decking or flamed granite that bridges the transition, making your terrace or balcony feel like a functional, permanent part of your interior square footage.
At Native Sutra, we view the boundary between inside and out as an opportunity, not a constraint. In our work across Gurugram and Delhi NCR, particularly in homes like those in the Tatvam Villas community, we focus on what we call the five elements or Tattvas.
Connecting spaces starts with physical openness. We replace standard doors with full-height sliding aluminum systems that hide away entirely. Once the barrier is removed, the floor becomes the primary connector. By extending your interior flooring style onto your balcony or patio, you trick the eye into seeing one continuous room.
We pay close attention to the micro-climate of your home. A concrete balcony in the Gurgaon heat is rarely comfortable. We solve this by adding vertical gardens that act as natural humidifiers and insulators. We introduce shades, such as pergolas or motorized blinds, to control the sunlight, ensuring you actually want to spend time there.
For larger garden projects, we bring nature closer to the glass. This might involve planting specimen trees directly outside your bedroom window, effectively turning your garden view into living artwork. We also focus on utility, such as creating BBQ nooks or shaded seating, ensuring your outdoor area is designed for your daily routine, not just for show. Whether it is a small city balcony or a sprawling villa garden, our goal is to ensure your home feels like a calm, natural sanctuary.
