A look at the spaces we’ve cherished designing—from compact terrace retreats to expansive villa landscapes across Delhi NCR. These projects reflect our philosophy: spaces that prioritize calm, comfort, and a genuine connection to nature.
This poolside deck is designed as a personal sanctuary, blending natural materials with lush greenery. We focused on creating a seamless transition from the home to the outdoors, using a warm wooden deck, comfortable rattan seating, and a variety of tropical plants to craft a tranquil escape.
We transformed this urban terrace into a chic oasis for relaxation. The design combines a comfortable rattan swing chair with modern wireframe seating, set against a backdrop of dense palm leaves and a geometric tiled floor, creating a perfect spot for morning coffee or evening drinks.

In this video, I, Parul, walk you through our solution for a common client problem: a backyard with no sunlight. We designed an organic, low-maintenance landscape with stone pathways, water features, and shade-loving plants to create a green and serene space, proving that any area can become beautiful.
This expansive garden was designed as a mindful retreat, incorporating distinct zones for different activities. The space includes a shaded gazebo for lounging, a central water feature for ambient sound, and curved lawns with stone seating, all connected by clean pathways for a harmonious flow.
Here, we demonstrate how to create a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living. The dining area opens directly onto a patio with a lush vertical garden, effectively extending the living space and bringing the calming presence of nature right into the home.
This terrace was designed for entertaining, featuring a dedicated BBQ corner perfect for evening cookouts. We used a dark wood-paneled privacy screen and a pergola structure to define the space, adding functional lighting to create a warm and inviting atmosphere after sunset.
About this collection
When you look through these projects, you will notice that we don't believe in 'filler' design. Whether we are retrofitting a shaded backyard or installing a terrace bar, every element—from the choice of WPC decking to the specific placement of a water feature—is selected to handle Delhi NCR's climate while remaining functional, low-maintenance, and grounded.
Designing with Intention
At Native Sutra, we view every outdoor project as a conversation between the site and the user. We don't just add furniture; we address the site’s unique constraints, whether it's a lack of sunlight in a backyard or the need for privacy in a high-rise balcony.
Our Approach to Outdoor Living
- The Tatvas (Five Elements): We weave earth, water, fire, air, and space into our designs. You will see this in our use of stone and clay for texture (Earth), water bodies for ambient sound (Water), and strategic lighting to create warmth (Fire).
- Climate-Responsive Design: Working in Delhi NCR requires durability. We use materials like Wood Plastic Composite (WPC) decking and UV-protected vertical gardens that thrive even during harsh summers and monsoon shifts.
- Solving the 'Impossible' Spot: A significant part of our practice involves fixing challenging spaces. As seen in our 'no-sunlight' backyard projects, we replace the need for high-maintenance lawns with organic, curved stone pathways and shade-loving planting palettes, turning unusable voids into serene escapes.

Our work ranges from comprehensive turnkey balcony transformations—designed to be cozy, urban oases—to large-scale luxury villa landscaping. For villa projects, we often incorporate resort-style amenities like custom gazebos, IPE wood decking, and water features that offer a retreat-like atmosphere without you ever needing to leave home. We handle everything from the initial sketch to the final execution, ensuring that the transition between your indoor living area and the outdoors feels entirely seamless.
