About Custom-Made Indian String Instruments
Legacy and Passion
Main Naeem Sitarmaker hoon, Miraj se - yahan har saans music mein basi hai (I am from Miraj, here every breath is filled with music). My family’s been making Indian string instruments since 1850. This craft runs in my blood, not just a business for me.
Crafting Unique Instruments
Each instrument I make is handmade and carries a piece of my family's history. I work mostly with high-quality Teakwood and Tunwood, picking every material myself for the best sound.
- Sitars: I build all major styles - UVK, Ravi Shankar, Nikhil Banerjee. Compact Studio, Travel, and Flat-Back sitars also available.
- Tanpuras & Tanpuris: Male, Female, and smaller Tanpuri models. I offer custom tanpura tuning for each singer’s range, even flat-back wooden versions with machine heads for easy tuning.
- Surbahar, Rudra Veena, Swarmandal, Dulcimer: Each one made with care, old-school techniques, and modern tweaks if needed.
Personal Touches
Every musician has their own style. You want something special? Batao, main bana ke doonga (Tell me, I’ll make it for you). Left-handed sitars, floral designs, peacock art, machine heads, or traditional fittings - sab possible hai (everything’s possible).
Tradition and Innovation
I love mixing old and new. My electric Zitar instrument is for those looking for something modern - solid colors, Seymour Duncan pickups, made from Tunwood.
Why I Do This
Seeing musicians - legends or newcomers - play my instruments is the real reward. Unki khushi mein meri khushi hai (Their happiness is my happiness).

My Story
Jab koi artist mere banaye hue sitar ya tanpura bajata hai, aur uski awaaz pasand karta hai, dil se sukoon milta hai. Chhota ho ya bada, har client mere liye parivar hai.
