When I cook my Kumkumadi Taila, the stage of 'Paaka' changes everything. I prepare three distinct versions, each with a different potency for your skin needs. You won't find this level of specificity in mass-produced bottles. Choosing the right one is the difference between genuine nourishment and just applying another layer of oil. Thik che?
My skincare philosophy is simple. I do not believe in 'jugaadu' (quick-fix) skincare that masks symptoms. True healing happens when you feed your skin the same quality ingredients you would feed your body.
The Art of Paaka
Traditional Kumkumadi Taila is not a one-size-fits-all oil. I follow the ancient process of cooking in stages to create three specific formulations:
- Mrudu Paaki: This is rare and therapeutic, best suited for Nasya therapy and helping with hair fall or very dry skin.
- Madhyam Paaki: This is my recommendation for your daily night serum. It nourishes the skin texture and brings out a natural glow.
- Khara Paaki: A denser formulation that I recommend for full-body Abhyanga massage to deeply rejuvenate tissue.
More Than Just Oils
Beyond oils, I handcraft other essentials without parabens, silicone, or synthetic fragrances. My Ubtan is a blend of Chandan, Manjistha, and Gram flour, designed to clear impurities the traditional way. My lip balms use Afghani Kesar and Kokum butter to target pigmentation, not just temporary dryness.
