Pro-Bono Legal Representation at Delhi High Court
Access to justice should not depend on your bank balance. I dedicate a significant portion of my practice to pro-bono cases at the Delhi High Court, ensuring everyone has a fair shot at the law.
I look at serving the Bar Association as the biggest brief of my lifetime, and I approach it with the same passion I have for my legal practice and pro-bono work. This video explains my view that you always find time for what you are passionate about, including serving those in need.
Participating in a panel discussion organized by the Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee. It is in forums like these that we discuss and devise better ways to provide effective legal aid and ensure access to justice for underserved communities.
A moment of shared perspective during the legal aid panel discussion. Engaging with my colleagues on these critical issues is essential for strengthening our collective commitment to social justice and community law.
Receiving a plant at a legal aid services event. This small gesture represents the growth and nurturing of our legal community's commitment to serving society and upholding the principles of justice for every citizen.
A conversation with fellow advocates at a legal aid function. Building strong relationships and partnerships within the legal community is crucial for expanding the reach and impact of our pro-bono and social welfare initiatives.
About Justice for All: Pro-Bono & Legal Aid
If you are seeking representation, please understand that I select cases based on substantial questions of law or instances of gross injustice. While I waive all professional fees as a Senior Advocate, you will be responsible for the actual filing expenses and the cost of photocopying the necessary paperbooks for the judges and counsel.
Main sabse pehle vakeel hoon (I am a lawyer first). My practice is my livelihood, but pro-bono work is my farz. For over a decade, I have worked closely with the Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee, because I know the struggle of a first-generation lawyer and the vulnerability of the common man. I believe the bar has a responsibility to stand for those who cannot afford the high costs of litigation.
How We Proceed
When you reach out for pro-bono support, we follow a straightforward, merit-based process:
- Financial Vetting: We perform a rigorous check to ensure this service reaches those with no actual ability to pay.
- Merit Basis: I personally review every case to ensure it involves substantial questions of law or involves a gross miscarriage of justice.
- The Commitment: If we take your case, you get the same Senior Counsel appearance and strategic defense as any paying client. However, I operate on a strict, no-nonsense basis regarding administrative costs.
Justice in the NCR should not be reserved for the privileged. If you are facing a complex criminal or constitutional matter and genuinely cannot afford legal representation, I am here to ensure you have a fighting chance in court.
