About Philanthropy & Social Work
Why I Do This Work
Main sabse pehle vakeel hoon (I'm a lawyer first). My practice is my main focus, but after years in the field, I felt a pull to give back. This isn't about fame or money for me. It's my farz (duty) to use what I have for those who need it most.
When Disaster Hits Home
Floods have hit me hard - my own house in Kerala went underwater, and my office in Delhi was ruined. So, when Punjab faced floods, I couldn't just watch. These moments remind me how quickly life can change, and why community disaster relief efforts matter.
What We Actually Do
- Led a team with the Delhi High Court Bar Association to Punjab, working with Akaal Purkh Ki Fauj and local volunteers.
- We didn't just send funds - we went to Kamirpura, saw the damage, and got our hands dirty.
- Cleared silt, built embankments, and helped farmers replant. It was tough, with plenty of local challenges, but we stuck with it. Now, Kamirpura is back on its feet.
How We Stay Accountable
Every rupee for grassroots village rebuilding is tracked online. No cash, only direct transfers. We even raised funds at a Pickleball tournament. Transparency is non-negotiable.
My Ongoing Duty
Legal aid for underserved communities is close to my heart. I always keep a few pro-bono legal service cases going. Sometimes, it's as simple as getting a chemist shop opened at the court after a tragedy. Big or small, the duty never ends.

My Story
Hi, I’m Narayanan. Didn’t start off as a lawyer - science grad, tried UPSC, life did its own thing. Landed at Campus Law Centre, Delhi. Nights, I was a journalist at Patriot, days were courts where even getting a seat at Tis Hazari felt like a win. Floods hit my home in Kerala, then my office in Delhi - water everywhere, books lost. So when I see people struggling, sannu lagya yaar, sannu kuch karna hai (I feel it, we have to do something). That’s what keeps me going.
My Work
Criminal Law at Delhi High Court - I’ve been practicing over 30 years as a Senior Advocate, mostly handling tough, sometimes messy cases. No drama, just work.
Pro bono work is non-negotiable - Of every six cases, two or three are pro bono. Har gareeb aadmi ke liye khada hona vakeel ka farz banta hai (It’s a lawyer’s duty to stand for every poor person).
No hierarchy in my chambers - I don’t do junior-senior drama. You want to talk, my door’s open. We’re all learning, every single day.
Fearless, but with dignity - Sometimes you have to take a tough stand in court. Don’t shy away, but always keep your head.
