Adoption & Handler Integration Package
Administrative & Medical
- Legal Documentation: Drafting and signing of the adoption deed and indemnity agreement.
- Medical Clearance: Final physical exam by a partner vet, vaccination records update (DHPPi/Anti-Rabies), and deworming dose.
- Sterilization: Confirmation of neutering or spaying status prior to handover.
Handler Integration
- Mandatory Counseling: A 60 to 90 minute session with a certified behaviorist to understand triggers and threshold management.
- Command Transfer: Instruction on specific markers, leash pressure techniques, and safety protocols.
- Transition Kit: Includes a safety slip-lead to prevent collar escapes, a starter pack of current diet, and dehydrated natural treats.
Residential Behavioral Rehabilitation
Behavior Modification
- Training Intensity: Two dedicated sessions daily using desensitization and counter-conditioning techniques.
- Target Areas: Protocols for reactivity (human/dog), resource guarding, anxiety, and fear-based behaviors.
- Tools: Use of balanced training tools (markers, prong/E-collar) strictly under professional supervision.
Boarding & Structure
- Decompression: Stay in a low-stimulus kennel environment to reset cortisol levels.
- Activity: Controlled socialization with balanced helper dogs and physical conditioning (swimming/fetch).
Handover Coaching
- Transfer Training: Extensive owner coaching at the end of the board-and-train period to ensure behavioral changes persist at home.
Full Rescue Dog Sponsorship
Living & Nutrition
- Housing: Dedicated individual indoor kennel with cross-ventilation and access to outdoor play pens.
- Fresh Diet: Two meals daily consisting of boiled chicken, rice, seasonal vegetables, and curd.
Medical & Hygiene
- Preventatives: Monthly tick and flea protection (Bravecto/NexGard) and deworming schedule.
- Grooming: Weekly medicated baths if required and daily brushing.
Sponsor Benefits
- Digital Updates: Regular photos and video updates of the sponsored dog via WhatsApp or social media.
- Visitation: Unlimited scheduled visits to the ranch to walk or play with the sponsored dog.

Why We Do What We Do
At Poochkoo Mutts & Nutts, I see every rescue as a second chance. Most of our dogs land up here because of human choices, not their own. My aim is simple - help them heal, learn, and finally, belong somewhere. I work with local shelters like CUPA, especially for dogs who need extra behavioral support before they’re ready for a home.
How We Help Dogs Heal
Our ranch in Whitefield is where the magic happens. Dogs get space to just be dogs, run around, and decompress. Most come in with tough baggage - fear, anxiety, sometimes even aggression. I use a Board and Train program for behavioral rehabilitation for rescue dogs. Every dog is different, so I tweak my approach - like with Jax, our deaf puppy, I use visual and touch cues instead of voice.

- Methods: Balanced, science-backed, and always adapted to the dog.
Finding the Right Family
Once a dog is ready, I don’t rush the adoption. I’m honest about their quirks and needs. Some, like Piccolo, take over a year to be ready for a forever home placement for shelter dogs. I make sure adopters know the dog’s story and how to keep up the progress.
The M&N Rescue Pack
There are always 10+ rescue dogs at the ranch. Some, like Tripod (our three-legged champ), stay forever. Others are waiting for their shot at a family. They’re the heart of namma Bengaluru (our Bengaluru).

My Story
We’re Mutts & Nutts, and honestly, we’re just mad about dogs. Our ranch out in Whitefield is our happy place, built for pups and the humans who love them. You’ll spot us giving second chances to dogs like Piccolo and Rocky, who just needed someone to understand them. We’re not chasing profits - we’re chasing tail wags, justice for animals, and building a Bengaluru pet community where everyone learns and grows. My heart’s full, and my clothes? Always covered in fur.
