Junior Singles Entry (U10 to U16)

- Draw Entry: Registration for one specific age category (U-10, U-12, U-14, or U-16).
- Surface: Play on maintained Red Clay courts.
- Format: Knockout structure with mini sets for early rounds and best of 3 sets for finals.
- Officiating: AITA certified or experienced club referees.

- Refreshments: Fresh juices, coconut water, or bananas provided during match days.
- Self Service Kitchen: Access to an on site kitchen area for parents to prepare their own food.
- Rewards: Certificates for all participants, with trophies and medals for winners and runners up.
Open & Seniors Singles Entry
Competition Specs
- Eligibility: Slots for Men's/Women's Open or Senior Age Groups (35+, 45+, 55+, 65+).
- Prize Pool: Eligibility for cash prizes ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹2,00,000 based on the tier.
- Ball Standards: New balls provided for deeper tournament rounds.
Hospitality & Perks
- Accommodation: Dormitory style or shared lodging provided for outstation players.
- Apparel: Complimentary tournament T-shirt provided during flagship events like the Independence Day Cup.
- Facilities: Access to floodlights for evening matches and healthy hydration stations.
Doubles Team Entry

Why We Host Tournaments
Tennis isn't just a sport to us - it's like a second home. I started Murugan Academy of Tennis because I wanted players to feel that excitement of a real tournament, whether they’re aiming for national glory or just love a good match. When someone tells me, "Namage Murugan academy andre tumba ishta" (We really like Murugan academy), that’s the best part for me.
Tournament Types
We run everything from official AITA ranking events to our own MAT Open Series, so there’s always something happening. If you’re chasing points or just want to try a new community tennis event, you’ll find your place here. Look out for our themed cups like the Independence Day Cup and the Kannada Rajyotsava Trophy, plus regular leagues with different tennis match formats.
Who Can Play
Our draws are open for everyone - juniors starting from Red Ball (U-8) up to U-16, plus adults and seniors (30+ all the way to 65+). We also have men’s, women’s, doubles, and even corporate categories. Coaches, you might have some restrictions in certain events, but you’re always welcome in the Open.
What You Get
Winners take home cash, trophies, and tennis tournament prizes. Everyone usually gets certificates, and at big events, even t-shirts or a fun Players’ Party. For those traveling from outside Bangalore, some tournaments cover your food and stay.
How We Run Things
All our tournaments are managed by an experienced team, with a dedicated Tournament Director and Referee. Matches happen on our 6 clay courts, day or night, thanks to floodlights.

My Story
Murugan here. Tennis runs in my blood, and this academy is my dream come true. Started with just mud, sweat, and a bhoomi puja. Now, five courts buzzing with kids and grown-ups, all part of my big tennis family. My brother Raju and I coach side by side, but honestly, every student feels like family. We play, celebrate, pick each other up after losses. It’s more than tennis - it’s about heart, grit, and growing together.
