You are not just hiring a DJ to stand behind a deck; you are bringing in a live performer who interacts with the crowd and gets even the faculty joining in.
When my crew, Team Monkz Calicut, and I roll into a college for a fresher’s night or union fest, we don't just plug in and play. We handle the technical rig entirely, using professional gear like Pioneer XDJ-XZ consoles and crisp audio systems from brands like JBL and Montarbo. I know the difference between a basement party and a packed auditorium, and we adjust the sound reinforcement accordingly.
For these events, I blend my signature high-energy EDM sets with Malayalam, Tamil, and Bollywood commercial hits to keep the floor moving. If the event needs an extra level of hype, we can integrate the Chembanda experience—mixing electronic beats with live Chenda percussion. It adds a local cultural punch that always works well for student crowds.
Everything we do is built for intensity. We bring the smoke machines, truss lighting, and even confetti blasts. I am an MC first, so I am constantly working the mic, hyping the students, and keeping the energy from dipping. We have done everything from poolside college parties to massive festival-style concert productions with line-array speakers.
