For large-scale events, I arrive three hours before the doors open to run a full sound check with your AV team, ensuring my turntable setup integrates perfectly with your venue's lighting and stage rigs. It is about removing the technical risk before the first guest even walks in, so your event flow—from dinner sets to the final dance floor drop—is seamless.
When you are hosting 500 or 5000 people, the music is just one piece of the puzzle. My goal is to make sure the audio production enhances the vibe rather than distracting from it.
My Approach to Corporate Events
I don't just hit play on a pre-mixed set. I read the room in real-time. If the crowd is networking over dinner, I keep the tempo low and tasteful. When it is time for the after-party or the dance floor finale, I switch to high-energy sets. I specialize in open-format mixing, blending commercial hits, retro pop, and current chart-toppers that appeal to diverse age groups.
Technical Standards
Large venues require professional-grade hardware. I perform using Pioneer PLX-1000 high-torque turntables and battle mixers, which gives me the tactile control to scratch, beat-juggle, and mix live. If your event has a dedicated AV partner, I integrate directly into their PA system to ensure the sound stays crisp throughout the hall.
