My Martial Arts Journey & Philosophy
Martial arts is a lifelong commitment, not a three-month course. Here is the story of how I found my true calling in Muay Thai and why I teach the way I do.
A student asked me about the one habit I never compromise on. For me, it is commitment. First, commitment to yourself. If you decide to do something, you see it through.
My journey in martial arts started when I was eight years old after being bullied. That day, I decided to become strong like Bruce Lee, and my path began in wrestling akharas and gyms.
After starting with wrestling, I was introduced to Kung Fu. I trained under great masters in the 80s, but I always had a hunger to learn more, to find a more complete art.
My search for a more effective art led me to Karate. I learned three different styles and earned my black belt three times, but I still felt something was missing. I was not satisfied.
This clip is from a longer interview where I discuss my journey through different martial arts before I finally found my true calling in Muay Thai.
Some people think they can become an expert in three months. My journey shows that mastering any art takes a lifetime of dedication. There are no shortcuts to perfection.
A simple truth I live by. Life is not a game of luck. If you want to win, in the ring or in life, you must work hard.
Your comfort zone will kill your progress. I push my students to step out of their comfort zones because that is where true growth and strength are found.
About My Journey & Philosophy
Real martial arts isn't about getting a belt in three months; it's about the daily grind. I’ve spent my life training in everything from wrestling to Karate before finding the depth I needed in Muay Thai. When you train with me, you aren't just learning how to kick; you are learning the discipline that keeps you going when things get tough.
My path started long before I opened my academy. I was bullied as a child, which drove me to seek strength. I went through years of Wrestling, Kung Fu, and Karate, earning black belts along the way. But something was always missing—the reality, the application, the logic of combat. It wasn't until I truly dove into Muay Thai and Muay Boran that I found what I was looking for.
My classes are a reflection of this journey. We don't do short-term shortcuts. We do the work. Whether you are looking for self-defense classes in Delhi or want your kids to join a program that builds real character, the goal is the same: consistency. We use drills like agility ladders, tire jumps, and traditional Wai Kru rituals to build both the body and the mind.
It is not about fancy certificates or quick fixes; it is about standing your ground in the ring and in life. If you are ready to put in the work and stop looking for easy answers, my academy is where you need to be. We are currently accepting students who are serious about their progress.
