Master the Art of 8 Limbs: Muay Thai Striking & Technique
Forget cardio kickboxing. We train the real deal. Learn the authentic mechanics of punches, knees, elbows, and kicks at our Delhi academy.
We focus on correct form, even during pad work. Here, I am guiding a student to keep his back leg positioned for power and balance while delivering a kick.
A fighter must know how to combine punches and kicks seamlessly. This drill focuses on flowing from punches into a powerful knee strike, a classic Muay Thai combination.
Pad work is essential for developing power and accuracy. Here, a student practices his striking combinations in the ring, preparing for a real fight scenario.
I hold the pads for my students to feel their power and correct their form in real-time. This drill focuses on delivering a strong knee strike after securing a grip.
I teach my students the proper Thai terms and techniques. Here we are drilling a 'Matong Sai' (left straight punch) and 'Matavat' (hook) combination.
The elbow is one of the most dangerous weapons in Muay Thai. This is a practice session focused on closing the distance and landing effective elbow strikes.
Mastering the knee attack is crucial. This drill focuses on generating power from the hips to deliver a devastating knee strike during pad work.
The 'Khao Laa' or farewell knee is a powerful finishing move. Here, we practice the technique in a controlled sparring session to understand its application.
Sparring is not just about hitting; it's about movement and defense. This drill focuses on maintaining guard and footwork while exchanging light strikes.
Heavy bag work is where we build power and endurance. My students are trained to use their full body weight to deliver strong, continuous punches.
About The Art of 8 Limbs: Striking & Technique Drills
When you step onto the mats here, don't expect a generic fitness class where you just punch the air. I focus on the 'Te Chiang' low kick and specific clinch work because these are the foundation of actual fight stability. You will learn to control your weight, breathe through the impact, and land strikes with intent rather than just speed.
At Muaythai Boxing Academy, we believe in preserving the history of 'Muay Boran' while teaching the practical applications of modern Muay Thai. The 'Art of 8 Limbs' refers to the eight primary contact points used in combat: hands, elbows, knees, and shins. Mastering this requires more than just fitness; it requires an understanding of leverage and timing.
Why Technique Matters
I don't just teach you to hit a bag. I teach you how to rotate your hips for maximum force in a low kick and how to hide your punches within combinations so you don't leave yourself open. Whether it is 'Matong Sai' (left straight punch) or a knee strike, we drill the motion until your body moves instinctively.
The Clinch
Many gyms ignore the clinch, but in Sadiq Nagar, we live in it. This is where you learn to break an opponent's posture and deliver knees that actually have impact. It is up-close, technical, and requires both strength and patience.
Real-Time Correction
In our sessions, you will see me holding pads, not watching from the sidelines. I correct your guard the moment it drops. You are not a number here; if your form is off, we fix it immediately.
What to Expect
Our training environments at Siri Fort and Sadiq Nagar are non-AC. We train in high-ventilation areas to mimic the heat and physical fatigue of a real fight. You must bring your own hand wraps and gloves. If you are serious about mastering the mechanics of combat, you have found the right place.
