Cinematic Travel and Street Films

I see the world through my lens, chasing stories in the pulse of the street and the silence of a sunrise. My work brings the rhythm of the city to life, from Mumbai to Colombo.

The golden hour at Galle Face Green in Colombo is magical. This short film captures the essence of evening life by the sea in Sri Lanka, from families enjoying ice cream to friends watching the waves.

Chasing the first light of the day at the Gateway of India. This video captures the serene morning atmosphere, the flight of pigeons, and the iconic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel against the golden sky.

A peaceful morning at the Gateway of India, focusing on the seagulls that flock to the area. The film has a calm, observational style, capturing the birds, the boats, and the people feeding them.

The mood of Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP) during the monsoon. This video captures the lush greenery, the rain soaked roads, and the quiet beauty of nature within Mumbai.

A glimpse into the chaotic and vibrant life at Sassoon Dock on a Sunday morning. The vertical format and quick cuts capture the constant motion and energy of one of Mumbai's oldest and busiest fishing docks.

Postcards from Colombo, Sri Lanka. This clip shows the national flag waving proudly at Independence Memorial Hall, capturing a sense of national pride and history.

Street scenes from Colombo. This video observes daily life, from people crossing the street in traditional attire to the mix of modern and old architecture.

About this collection

I don't just hit record and call it a day. My street photography and travel films rely heavily on specific color grading—my signature dark, teal, and orange look—and layered sound design to turn raw footage into a cohesive narrative. If you have a specific mood in mind, I can align the edit to match that tone using DaVinci Resolve, whether you need a fast-paced urban reel or a slow, cinematic travel piece.

When I am out on the street or traveling, I am not just capturing visuals; I am looking for the transition. It might be the way light hits a tuk-tuk mirror in Colombo, the morning flight of pigeons at the Gateway of India, or the monsoon rhythm at SGNP. My goal is to capture the vibe of a place so that anyone watching feels like they were standing right there with me.

My approach to street videography and travel storytelling is technical and deliberate. I shoot with my Sony A7 IV, which allows me to get high-dynamic-range footage that holds detail even in difficult lighting, like dimly lit docks or harsh midday sun. Once the shoot is over, the real work happens in the edit. I spend hours in DaVinci Resolve and Premiere Pro, focusing on:

  • Color Grading: I create a cinematic look that fits the story—often using moodier, nostalgic tones or high-contrast street looks.
  • Sound Design: A film is only as good as its audio. I layer ambient sounds, foley, and beat-synced music to guide the viewer through the pace of the city.
  • Narrative Structure: I don't just stack clips. I look for a start, middle, and end, even in a 30-second reel.

Whether you need coverage for a travel campaign, a documentary style street film, or content that captures the real energy of a location, I bring the same cinematic standard I use for my personal street projects. Let’s talk about the mood you want to set for your next visual project.

I started in 2020 with a borrowed camera and a lot of curiosity. Now, I use that same passion to turn everyday street scenes into cinematic films. I believe every place has a rhythm, and my job is to find it, capture it, and edit it into something real.
