The city never stops, but it does pause. Here is my collection of Mumbai's fleeting, quiet moments, captured exactly as I see them—raw, unfiltered, and always in motion.

A reel showcasing "Everyday Mumbai." It moves from the freedom of seagulls in the sky to the bustling boat life at the Worli sea face, ending with a beautiful sunset over the city skyline.

A corn seller at dusk on a Mumbai beach. This simple, everyday moment is framed against the magnificent Bandra-Worli Sea Link, telling a story of small lives against a grand backdrop.

Using motion blur to capture the rush of traffic in front of an Art Deco building. This technique is key to my style, conveying the city's constant energy and movement.

A film titled "The Art of Noticing." It's a collection of quiet, observed moments: a person under an umbrella, a man smoking, a pigeon on a rooftop, all framed to feel significant and cinematic.

More scenes from "Everyday Mumbai," featuring a glimpse of the Rajabai Clock Tower, a lone boat on the water, and the view of a train station at dusk.

An elevated view of the area around CSMT station on a cloudy day. The wet streets and classic architecture give this everyday scene a grand, historical feel.

This reel captures the diverse textures of Mumbai life: seagulls at the Gateway, the blur of people outside Yazdani Bakery, and a man traveling in a local train.

A continuation of the "Everyday Mumbai" series, showing a passenger's view from a moving train, the shadows on the tracks, and a quiet street in an old neighborhood.

A static shot of a classic Mumbai corner building, the Indian Art Studio. The motion blur of passing people and vehicles contrasts with the stillness of the architecture.

A reel that contrasts the fast-moving local train with a sweeping aerial view of the city's dense skyline, showing both the micro and macro perspectives of Mumbai.

About Cinematic Street Stories

I don't believe in posed photography or staging the perfect frame. My work here is about finding the rhythm in the chaos, using techniques like motion blur and low-light composition to capture the energy of local trains or the silence of the beach at dawn. If you want a sterile studio shoot, I am not your guy. But if you want the real pulse of Mumbai, let's talk.

Photography for me is a way to read the diary of this city. When I shoot, I look for the intersections where the old world meets the new, like the constant rush of traffic passing the Art Deco facade of the Eros Cinema or the quiet solitude of a fisherman at Marine Drive. My style is less about the technical perfection of a lens and more about the atmosphere of the moment.

I focus on cinematic storytelling that brings a documentary feel to your brand or personal project. Whether it is the grand scale of the CSMT station on a rainy day or the abstract textures inside a crowded train, I aim to show the viewer not just what happened, but what it felt like to be there.

If we work together, expect a collaborative, casual process. I shoot on anything from professional Sony Alpha gear to high-end mobile setups, depending on the vibe of the story we are trying to tell. I prefer shooting during the golden hour or when the city lights start to bleed into the blue hour, giving every frame a moody, film-like quality that stays true to the #BeAmateur philosophy. We don't need a massive production crew to make something memorable—we just need to be present and let the city happen around us.

I’m Shivam, and I prefer to call myself an amateur because it keeps me hungry for the next angle. I don’t chase perfection; I chase the feeling of Mumbai—the loud, the soft, and the completely chaotic. My camera is just an excuse to wander and document the city’s diary, one frame at a time.
