I turn photos of your favorite stars and icons into detailed charcoal or color pencil sketches. From movie characters to artists, I focus on the eyes and expressions to make them look real.

An acrylic painting of Jason Momoa as Aquaman on a black canvas. The dark background makes the details of the armor and the intensity in his eyes stand out.

A detailed charcoal sketch of Tyrion Lannister from Game of Thrones. I focused on capturing the intense, calculating gaze and the facial scars that define Peter Dinklage's character.

A graphite sketch of Kannada actor Dhananjay as 'Tagaru Dolly'. The goal was to capture his signature intense look, using dark shading to create a dramatic, high-contrast portrait.

A charcoal portrait of cricketer Virat Kohli. I wanted to capture his happy and relaxed expression, focusing on the realistic smile and the texture of his beard.

This is a color pencil sketch of Kannada rapper Chandan Shetty. I used a vibrant red for his jacket to make the portrait pop and carefully blended skin tones for a realistic finish.

A color sketch of actor Kiccha Sudeep in his look from 'The Villain'. The challenge was recreating the texture of the fabric wrapped around his head and his intense, focused expression.

A dynamic pencil sketch of rapper Emiway Bantai. I used energetic lines and heavy charcoal shading to match his stage persona and capture the motion in this pose.

A color sketch of DJ Alok, a character from the game Free Fire. I had fun with this one, especially with the challenge of drawing the colorful reflection in his sunglasses.

A classic charcoal portrait of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. The focus here was on strong lighting and shadow to define his powerful features and intense stare.

A graphite pencil portrait of movie reviewer Jaby Koay. I worked to capture his distinct expression and features, which are familiar to his many fans online.

About Celebrity & Pop Culture Portraits

I do not use tracing or digital filters for these sketches. I use professional-grade charcoal or oil-based color pencils and work on acid-free A3 paper. Because I build the shading and skin textures layer by layer, it takes time to get the details right. If you are looking for a portrait that captures a real expression rather than just a flat image, this is the approach I follow.
