Every portrait is hand-drawn on 160gsm Brustro paper using professional graphite and charcoal, so you get actual depth and texture that a standard print just cannot match. We ship these unframed in sturdy hard tubes to ensure they reach you without a single crease, plus you get a high-res digital scan included with every order.
People often ask if we use filters or digital AI tools to generate these sketches. The answer is a firm no. Every stroke is human-made. We start with a clear, high-resolution photo of the person or pet you want sketched. We analyze the light, the shadows, and those tiny details—like the texture in a beard or the glint in an eye—to ensure the drawing looks like a real person, not just a copy.
We work exclusively on A3-sized 160gsm Brustro paper. It is thick, acid-free, and handles layers of graphite and charcoal shading perfectly. Once the drawing is complete, we apply a professional-grade clear fixative spray. This stops the charcoal from smudging or rubbing off during transit, keeping the contrast sharp.
