Portraits of Music and Internet Stars
Hand-drawn graphite and charcoal portraits of the icons shaping today's pop culture. From viral creators to legendary voices, captured with intense, hyper-realistic detail.
The Lord himself, Puneet Superstar. Beyond the memes, he helps many people, and I wanted to capture the personality of this unique social media star in charcoal.
A pencil drawing of the rapper Dino James. I focused on capturing the raw emotion and intensity that he pours into his lyrics, which are based on real-life struggles.
A portrait of the warrior, Baseer Ali of Roadies and Splitsvilla fame. This piece, which took 85 hours, captures the drive of a man who turned his dreams into reality.
My 90-hour pencil portrait of the charismatic singer Armaan Malik. I used graphite and charcoal on 250 GSM paper to get the smooth texture of his jacket and the details of his guitar.
A hand-drawn portrait of the popular creator Niharika NM. I wanted to capture her bright, infectious smile and the personality that shines through in her funny videos.
My 90-hour photorealistic pencil drawing of Punjabi singer Harrdy Sandhu. I used the grid method to ensure perfect proportions for this complex, high-impact pose.
A portrait of singer Darshan Raval, created by popular demand. This 96-hour piece was made using graphite and charcoal to capture his thoughtful expression.
My tribute to CarryMinati, one of India's biggest YouTubers. This 72-hour portrait in his signature denim jacket is for everyone who has been inspired by his journey.
Bole Toh Game Over! My customized artwork of the Gully Gang king, Vivian Fernandes, aka Divine. This piece shows his journey from the streets to the stage.
The Happy Sane, Prajakta Koli. This portrait celebrates her journey and the positive energy she brings, captured in her signature smile.
About Portraits of Music & Internet Stars
When I work on these portraits, I don't just copy a photo. I listen to their music or watch their videos to get into the zone. Whether it is capturing the intensity of a rapper like Divine or the infectious energy of someone like Niharika NM, it is about getting the proportions and the soul right. I use a grid method for anatomical accuracy—no shortcuts. It is 90+ hours of layering graphite and charcoal, because that is the only way to make the drawing feel alive.
Every sketch is a tribute. When I pick up my pencil to draw a star, I am not just looking at a reference image. I am thinking about the story behind them, the struggles Dino James puts into his lyrics, or the journey that made a creator like CarryMinati who he is today.
My process relies on high-grade, acid-free 250 GSM paper and professional graphite and charcoal tools. It starts with a precise grid to ensure every line on the paper corresponds perfectly to the real face. From there, it is about texture. Getting the shine right on a guitar or the fabric folds of a jacket takes immense patience. Once the drawing is complete, I seal it with a professional-grade matte fixative spray so your artwork remains smudge-proof for years.
People often ask why I spend nearly a hundred hours on a single piece. The answer is simple: detail. Digital prints look flat, but a hand-drawn piece catches the light and adds a depth that connects with you. Whether you want a portrait of your favorite artist or a custom piece of yourself created with this same hyper-realistic style, I treat every commission with the same focused dedication.
