When I take on a commission, I focus on the details that make a piece feel real, like the texture of skin in a portrait or the metallic sheen on an object. I work on high-quality surfaces, using professional-grade charcoal, graphite, or acrylics, and I always provide a high-resolution scan or work-in-progress updates so you know exactly what is happening with your piece before it is sealed and shipped.
My approach is simple: I stare at the reference photo until I understand the shadow, the light, and the texture. Whether it is a hyper-realistic charcoal portrait of a loved one or a large-scale acrylic painting of a cultural figure from Tulunad, I do not believe in shortcuts.
My Core Focus
- Portraits: I focus on the eyes and expression. I use professional-grade charcoal and graphite on acid-free paper to capture a likeness that does not just look like a drawing but feels like a memory.
- Cultural & Wildlife Art: Using heavy-body acrylics on gallery-wrapped canvas, I paint subjects that matter to me. I bring the same detail I use in my portraits to large-format paintings of wildlife and mythological scenes.
- 3D & Illusion Art: These pieces play with depth and shadow. I use pencil to manipulate perspective, making simple shapes lift off the page.
Quality & Materials
I use high-quality materials to ensure your art lasts. My charcoal works are finished with a matte fixative spray to stop smudging, and my acrylic canvases get a protective gloss or satin varnish that is water and dust-resistant. For smaller commissions like pebble art, I use high-gloss epoxy for that permanent 'wet' look.
Logistics
I am based in Arekere, Bengaluru, but I ship across Karnataka. I know that shipping artwork can be stressful, so I pack everything properly. Paper portraits are rolled in heavy-duty PVC tubes or sandwiched in industrial cardboard, while canvases are bubble-wrapped and corner-protected. Framing is not included, as glass often breaks in transit, so I ensure the piece is ready for you to take to your local framer once it arrives.
