Custom Children's Ethnic Wear and Lehengas

Growing up, my favourite outfits were the ones I didn't want to take off, which is exactly the feeling I aim for with my Miraaya Kids line. Designing for children requires a different approach than adult couture. It isn’t just about making a miniature version of a wedding outfit, but about choosing skin-friendly fabrics and smart construction that allows for movement.

My process for kids' ethnic sets always prioritises wearability. Whether it is a traditional Pattu Pavadai (silk set) for a girl or a smart kurta set for a boy, I use breathable silks and soft cotton linings to ensure there is no irritation. For lehengas, I build in full-volume can-can for that grand look without the weight, and I always add concealed margins. It means you aren't investing in a one-time wear; you are getting an outfit that adjusts as your child grows.
