About this collection
These shoots are not about stiff poses. I bring in antique props like wooden crates, vintage telephones, and old books to create a cozy, nostalgic atmosphere. Because I work in a controlled studio environment here in Belathur, we have all the time needed for your pet to get comfortable and start acting like their natural, curious self before I ever click the shutter.
When I photograph a dog or cat with vintage elements, I am looking for a painterly quality that feels like a classic portrait from another era. Whether it is a Frenchie posing next to an old-fashioned telephone or a Shih Tzu resting on a stack of aged books, the focus is on creating a scene that feels grounded and full of character.
I use my Sony a7iii with animal eye detection to ensure that even while we work with these props, the focus remains sharp on your pet’s eyes. That is where their personality lives. My studio in Belathur is climate-controlled and designed to be a stress-free space. If your pet is nervous around new objects, we start by letting them sniff the props and walk around. There is no rush. We keep the lighting soft to complement the rustic textures, resulting in images that look warm, textured, and truly timeless. It is about capturing that quiet grace rather than just a quick snapshot.
