About this collection
For these shoots, I only need a 10x10 foot empty space in your home to set up my professional lighting and backdrops. This setup ensures we get crisp, high-quality images without ever needing to take your pet to an unfamiliar or distracting studio environment.
When we shoot in a studio environment, the focus shifts entirely to your pet. Without the distractions of an outdoor park or a busy street, we can really highlight the finer details—the texture of their fur, the sparkle in their eyes, and their unique expressions.
Why a Home Studio?
Most pets, especially cats or more reserved dogs, feel safer on their own turf. I bring everything to you: professional-grade lighting, stands, and a variety of colorful backdrops like white, blue, or purple. Because we are in your home, there is zero travel stress. If your pup needs a quick break, we take it. If they want to snooze between shots, we let them.
Styling and Props
This is where we get creative. Whether you want a clean, minimalist look with a solid background, or a fun, themed shoot with hats, bandanas, and props, I can handle it. I’ve photographed pets in everything from tiny tuxedos to floral outfits. If you have a special idea or a costume you’ve been dying to see your pet wear, let’s make it happen.
The Process
My approach is built on patience. I don’t believe in forcing any animal to pose. I use positive reinforcement—lots of treats, gentle sounds, and play—to get them to look toward the camera. A typical session lasts about 3 to 4 hours, which includes plenty of time for setup and getting your pet comfortable with the equipment. You end up with professional, editorial-style digital images that are sharp, high-contrast, and perfect for large prints on your living room wall.
